If there are times that you have less than 40 people
listening then you are paying for something you are
not using.
We prefer to give you a set price for "bandwidth
usage" based on the the actual amount to data
transferred instead of for a total number of concurrent
listeners. Bandwidth usage is explained in full in our
Bandwidth
Explained page. The short explanation is that it
relates directly to how many listeners you actually
have and how long for over the entire month. The more
listeners and the higher quality the audio you are broadcasting
then the more bandwidth you will use.
By using this method you only pay for what you actually
use. If you have quiet periods with only a few listeners
then in your busier periods you can take advantage of
this fact and have more than 40 listeners in your more
busy periods.
